My research at Digital Surgery focuses on semantic segmentation, semi-supervised learning, and scene understanding in surgical images.
My research at Umbo Computer Vision focused on automated scene understanding and crowd counting in surveillance images. Relevant research buzzwords: scene parsing, semantic segmentation, instance segmentation, crowd counting, visual attention, convolutional neural networks, video segmentation.
My PhD research was about imaging blood flow in the brain. I used Bayesian statistics, optimal design theory and machine learning to generate better images.
